The Arab Federation for the Digital Economy, a member of the Forum of Specific Arab Federations Specialized in the League of Arab States, held a coordination meeting with the United Nations Development Program to discuss ways of cooperation in the projects implemented by the Union.

The meeting included discussion of a number of important topics, the most prominent of which was enhancing cooperation in implementing the e-commerce project and the Arab Digital Food Market platform, for the benefit of the Arab region. This platform is considered the first of its kind in the Arab world for food trade between export and import companies, facilitating trade exchange between Arab countries and global markets, and providing basic support services for export transactions.

During the meeting, the Arab Platform for Education and Training project was also presented, which will work as an integrated digital platform to provide digital educational content to accredited Arab universities, institutes and training centers, at low costs and in multiple languages ​​via the Internet in accordance with international best practices. The platform will serve as an important and new tool for disseminating science and knowledge in the Middle East, North Africa, and West African countries.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ayman Mukhtar Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Federation for the Digital Economy, His Excellency Dr. Ammar Hamdeen, ICT and digital development consultant and expert at the United Nations Development Programme, and representatives of both parties.
