The Arab Federation for Digital Economy, member of the Executive Office of the Arab Qualitative and Specialized Federations of the League of Arab States, held a coordination meeting with the Kingdom of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce to discuss ways of cooperating in achieving the goals of digital transformation in the Arab region.

The meeting was attended by H.E. Dr. Abdullah Al-Darmaki, Deputy Secretary General of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, and H.E./Ibrahim Al-Tamimi, Executive Director of Communication at the Kingdom of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, Wed. Ayman Mukhtar Ghneim, Assistant Secretary-General of the Federation and representatives of both sides.

During the meeting, the Arab Federation for Digital Economy provided an overview of some initiatives emanating from the Arab Vision for Digital Economy such as the Arab Food Market Initiative and the Training and Education Initiative. Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce expressed the importance of the Federation’s projects for enhancing food security and enhancing the export capacities of traders and manufacturers across their products development of the Arab world’s educational systems through technology to benefit the Arab region.

During the meeting, the importance of partnering with the Kingdom of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce (BCCB), whose leadership is distinguished in the field of digital transformation, was stressed. The two sides commended Bahrain’s progress in the field of digitization, stressing the importance of joint cooperation to develop digital initiatives that serve the strategic vision of Bahrain and the region.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties emphasized the continuation of joint work and exchange of experiences to achieve the goals of digital development and promote innovation in the Arab world, thereby contributing to the building of sustainable digital economies.
