Arab Federation for Digital Economy discusses ways of cooperation with Digital Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Estonia

The Arab Federation for Digital Economy, a member of the Executive Office of the Forum of Arab Specialized and Qualitative Federations at the League of Arab States, held a coordination meeting with the Department of Digital Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Estonia, to discuss ways of cooperation in the field of digital transformation.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al Darmaki, Deputy Secretary General of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, Her Excellency Ms. Neil Liusk, Ambassador Plenipotentiary for Digital Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, Dr. Ayman Mokhtar Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary General of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, and representatives from both sides.

The meeting witnessed a mutual welcome between the two parties, as the delegation of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy expressed its appreciation for the distinguished Estonian experience in digital transformation, pointing to the role of the partnership between the public and private sectors in providing quality services and the development of digital infrastructure in Estonia, which has become a global model to be emulated. The Federation representatives also expressed their desire to benefit from Estonian expertise to develop digital transformation projects in the Arab region.

For her part, Ambassador Nell Liusk expressed her admiration and appreciation for the Arab digital vision adopted by the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, appreciating the great efforts and initiatives implemented by the Federation to enhance the digital economy in Arab countries. She stressed her country’s keenness to deepen cooperation between Estonia and Arab countries in this field, which would contribute to the exchange of expertise and the development of joint digital solutions.

The meeting also discussed ways of cooperation within the framework of the “Govstack Infrastructure” project, where it was agreed to continue communication and coordination between the two sides to explore more opportunities and enhance digital cooperation.

This meeting comes within the context of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy’s keenness to build fruitful international partnerships and explore pioneering experiences in digital transformation, in a way that enhances the efficiency of digital services in Arab countries and supports the achievement of sustainable digital transformation.
