Today, December 5, 2024, the “Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit” was launched at the ADNEC Abu Dhabi Center, as part of the activities of the first session of Abu Dhabi Business Week, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and hosted by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, and the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority.

The summit, which is being held this year under the theme “Safe Factories of the Future: Industrial Safety and Digital Transformation”, highlights the importance of unifying safety practices in the industrial sector, especially in light of the growing reliance on modern technologies and artificial intelligence. It will discuss many issues affecting the industrial sector, including promoting sustainable growth, protecting the workforce, and ensuring operational efficiency, thus enhancing its position as a platform for anticipating the future of industrial safety and innovation. The summit focused on the Declaration of the Global Principles for Industrial Safety, which it launched in cooperation with the Global Initiative for the Future of Industrial Safety.
