The Arab Federation for Digital Economy holds a coordination meeting with Madinah University and Ajman University

In a move aimed at supporting the digital education system and developing Arab competencies and innovative educational initiatives, the Arab Federation for Digital Economy held a joint meeting with Madinah University and Ajman University. The meeting discussed the presentation of the Arab Education and Training Platform project, in addition to discussing ways of cooperation between the parties to support this ambitious project.

The meeting was attended by a number of officials and experts from the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, headed by Dr. Abdullah Al Darmaki, Deputy Secretary-General of the Federation, and Dr. Ayman Mokhtar Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary-General, in addition to academic leaders from the University of Madinah, headed by His Excellency Dr. Imran Khan, President of the University, and Ajman University, headed by His Excellency Dr. Karim Al Saghir, with the participation of a number of directors from the two universities. Discussions focused on cooperation in the Arab Platform for Education and Training initiative.

During the meeting, the Arab Federation for Digital Economy stressed the importance of partnerships with leading academic institutions in the Arab world to achieve the project’s objectives, and that the education platform supervised by the Federation will serve as a fundamental pillar to support digital transformation in the Arab world, by providing advanced educational content, specialized training programs for students, and practical training programs that qualify them to integrate into the digital labor market.

For their part, representatives of the two universities welcomed the initiative and expressed their readiness to provide the necessary support to ensure the success of the union’s projects. They stressed that the two universities attach great importance to enabling students to acquire modern digital skills, noting that cooperation with the Arab Federation for Digital Economy is a strategic step towards achieving this goal.

It is noteworthy that the Arab Platform for Education and Training project is one of the main initiatives that aim to achieve a qualitative shift in Arab digital education and build Arab digital capabilities that meet the needs of Arab societies and support sustainable development opportunities.

The two universities’ officials also welcomed joining the Higher Committee for the Development and Review of the Arab Vision for the Digital Economy 2026-2030, which was launched by the Union in Abu Dhabi in 2018 under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him and grant him peace.
