The Arab Union for Digital Economy announced its institutional strategy for the period 2018-2024, which aims to support sustainable digital transformation efforts in Arab countries.

Strategic objectives

The Federation’s strategy aims to enable it to become a possible partner in building advanced, influential and sustainable digital Arab economies. The plan’s mission reaffirms that its efforts will be based on supporting transformation plans, financial inclusion and the development of knowledge, legislative and technological infrastructure in the Arab world.

Strategic business hubs

The Federation’s strategy is based on five main themes:
1. Support the modernization and development of legislative and legal foundations.
2. Contribute to the development of technological infrastructure and enhance knowledge content.
3. Support small and medium business systems to enter digital inclusion frameworks.
4. Supporting Arab government plans to deepen e-governance practices and smart government services.
Based on these strategic axes, the Federation’s role and stature in the Council of Arab Economic Unity seeks to play an essential role in these initiatives and projects.

Stressing the importance of teamwork between governments, the private sector and educational institutions to achieve common goals and open new prospects for sustainable economic growth, the Union stressed in its statement.
