The Arab Federation for Digital Economy participated in the Digital Entrepreneurship Forum, which was organized by the Federation’s branch in Iraq and hosted by Al-Turath University under the sponsorship of a number of prestigious Iraqi entities.

The forum discussed the role of innovation and technology in supporting entrepreneurship and enhancing the digital economy in Iraq, with the participation of an elite group of experts, academics and entrepreneurs. The attendees discussed ways to develop the digital business environment and investment prospects in this field.

Presentation on the Arab Platform for Education and Training

Dr. Ayman Mokhtar Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary General of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, presented a working paper in which he talked about the Arab Platform for Education and Training, which represents one of the most important initiatives of the Federation to support digital education in the Arab world. He explained that the platform aims to empower Arab youth by providing advanced training programs in the fields of digital economy, and stressed that the Future Business Leaders Program is one of the main programs offered by the Arab Platform for Education and Training, and is specifically designed to prepare a new generation of digital entrepreneurs capable of leading innovative projects and enhancing the digital economy in the Arab world.

Ghanem stressed that digital education is the cornerstone of building a sustainable digital economy, emphasizing the importance of the role of Iraqi universities in enabling their students to benefit from the Future Business Leaders Program provided by the platform. He called on academic institutions to motivate and encourage young people to acquire digital skills and entrepreneurship, which will contribute to qualifying a new generation capable of launching innovative projects and driving economic growth.

Digital Cooperation in Iraq

The forum witnessed extensive discussions on the importance of digital transformation in the business sector, and how emerging companies in Iraq can benefit from modern technologies to enhance their competitiveness. Success stories of Iraqi entrepreneurial projects that were able to achieve a tangible impact thanks to their reliance on digital solutions were also reviewed.

The attendees praised the role of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, stressing that initiatives such as the Arab Platform for Education and Training and the Future Business Leaders Program represent real opportunities for Iraqi youth to acquire the skills needed to keep pace with the global economy.

At the conclusion of the forum, participants stressed the importance of cooperation between academic institutions and technology companies, and working to develop a supportive environment for digital entrepreneurship in Iraq, which contributes to achieving sustainable economic growth based on innovation and technology.
