The Arab Federation for Digital Economy discussed with His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Maliki, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Economic Sector at the League of Arab States, ways to develop joint action and support Arab economic integration. This came during a meeting held via videoconference, with the participation of His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohamed Al-Khouri, Chairman of the Federation’s Board of Directors, and a number of representatives from both sides.
During the meeting, the Union reviewed the most prominent projects and achievements made during the past period. The presentation covered initiatives that have contributed to supporting digital transformation, as well as efforts to increase inter-Arab investments and develop digital infrastructure, which will positively impact economic growth in the region.
During the meeting, Dr. Ali Al-Maliki emphasized the importance of the Union’s efforts to support the joint Arab economy, commending the Union’s distinguished projects in the digital economy and affirming the Arab League’s commitment to providing various forms of support to enhance cooperation with the Union in a manner that serves the economic interests of Arab countries.
The two sides agreed to strengthen coordination in implementing future programs and projects, with a focus on initiatives that keep pace with modern trends in the digital economy and economic infrastructure development. They also emphasized the importance of investing in available capabilities to achieve sustainable development that contributes to enhancing stability and prosperity in the Arab region.
