His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, presented the Arab League’s Presidential Shield to Lieutenant General H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Supreme President of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, during the Seamless 2020 Digital Economy Conference and Exhibition, held at the Dubai World Trade Center on November 16 and 17. The event was organized by Terrapinn and sponsored by the League of Arab States.

During the event, His Excellency praised the UAE’s role in supporting development issues in the Arab world, noting the direct support provided to joint Arab projects by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, particularly the “Arab Digital Economy Vision” initiative, which His Highness sponsors.

This honor comes in recognition of His Highness’s pioneering role in supporting Arab digital economy projects, his leadership of unique initiatives that have contributed to developing a digital environment based on knowledge and modern technology, and expanding the scope of digital infrastructure in the economic, social, and security fields.

His Excellency the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States also commended the contributions of His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Supreme President of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, in advancing digital transformation efforts in the Arab world and his adoption of strategic initiatives aimed at building the capacities of Arab institutions and enabling them to utilize modern technologies in various fields, including financial technology, digital services, and e-commerce.

His Excellency also commended His Highness’s vision to support the integration of Arab efforts in the digital economy sector, and to work to create an institutional and technical environment capable of keeping pace with global changes, achieving sustainable development goals, and raising the efficiency of Arab economies on the international stage.
