His Excellency Professor Mohamed Osman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, presented Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Supreme President of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, with the Digital Economy Personality of the Year 2020 shield , in recognition of His Highness’s role and contributions in supporting innovation, technology, and Arab cooperation in the fields of the digital economy and technological transformation.

His Excellency the President of Cairo University commended the pivotal role played by the United Arab Emirates in supporting joint Arab initiatives, commending the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, for development projects in the Arab world, particularly the “Arab Digital Economy Vision” initiative, which represents an integrated strategic framework for advancing Arab economies through technology and digital transformation.

His Excellency Mohamed Elkhosht commended the vision of His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which is based on a strategic understanding of the role of technology and innovation in driving comprehensive development. He noted that His Highness’s initiatives represent an advanced model for employing digital transformation to serve communities, empower individuals, and expand the horizons of education and scientific research in the Arab world.

He also highlighted His Highness’s role in strengthening the institutional dimension of relations between the academic, government, and private sectors, by supporting digital education programs and applied research projects. This contributes to preparing generations capable of leading the digital future with competence and proficiency.

This honor embodies Arab appreciation for His Highness’s status as one of the most prominent leaders who have embraced modernization and development through technology, and who have contributed to establishing digital systems capable of bringing about qualitative transformations in the structure of the Arab economy and strengthening its position on the global knowledge-based economy map.
