The Arab Federation for Digital Economy, a member of the Executive Office of the Forum of Specialized Arab Federations at the League of Arab States, organized the Digital Economy Investment Forum as part of the AIM Investment Summit 2024, which was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from May 7 to 9, 2024.

The forum is being held as part of the Union’s efforts to enhance the investment environment in the digital economy in the Arab region and explore future opportunities for cooperation between the public and private sectors in the fields of technology and digital transformation.

The forum was widely attended by government officials, representatives of financial and investment institutions, emerging technology companies, and international experts in the digital economy. Participants discussed opportunities and challenges in the fields of artificial intelligence, financial technology (FinTech), digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, and big data.

In his opening remarks, His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Al Khouri, President of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, emphasized that the forum represents a strategic platform for exploring ways to develop the digital economy in the Arab world. He highlighted the importance of regional and international partnerships in supporting digital transformation projects and promoting a knowledge-based economy.

The forum also witnessed the signing of a number of memoranda of understanding and agreements between the Union and regional and international institutions, aimed at supporting joint programs, exchanging expertise, and developing digital skills in the Arab region.

The Arab Federation for Digital Economy continues its efforts to support initiatives that contribute to developing the digital investment environment and enhancing Arab cooperation in the fields of innovation and modern technologies, in order to achieve the vision of a common Arab digital economy.
