His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Khair Abdel Qader, Secretary-General of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, participated in the Arab Investment Mechanisms Meeting, held on May 27, 2025, at the headquarters of the Council of Arab Economic Unity in Cairo. The meeting was attended by a number of experts and representatives of Arab and international economic and investment bodies.

During the meeting, he gave a comprehensive presentation on the study “Technological Governance of Artificial Intelligence in the Global Economy,” which was prepared by the Arab Federation for Digital Economy as part of its ongoing efforts to monitor technological developments and their impact on future economic development.

The study highlighted the importance of building comprehensive AI governance frameworks based on the principles of transparency, accountability, cybersecurity, and innovation ethics, ensuring the safe and effective use of modern technologies in economic systems.

In his speech, Ambassador Mohammed Khair emphasized that the Union attaches great importance to the intersection of technology and the economy, and is working to present qualitative studies and initiatives that contribute to empowering Arab decision-makers to adopt modern digital models that achieve a balance between technological progress and the protection of societal and economic interests.

This meeting comes within the framework of strengthening joint Arab dialogue on investing in the digital future and intensifying coordination efforts to keep pace with global transformations in artificial intelligence.
