The Arab Federation for Digital Economy of the Council of Economic Unity of the League of Arab States held a remote meeting via the Internet with Cairo University, to discuss the latest developments and developments related to the Arab Digital League initiative and the executive steps in the project.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht , President of Cairo University, and His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohamed Al-Khouri, Advisor to the Council of Arab Economic Unity and President of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, and representatives from both sides.

The meeting included a discussion of the technical structure of the digital platform, the stages of project implementation, the mechanisms for providing specialized educational and training programs to affiliates of universities, institutions and community members, and criteria for granting trainees accredited certificates at low costs and in different languages ​​via the Internet.

The digital education platform – announced by the Arab Federation for Digital Economy in 2021 in cooperation with the Association of Arab Universities and the Arab Administrative Development Organization – will promote continuing education and contribute to achieving sustainable development goals related to human development, through educational paths designed to meet the needs of the labor market, and raise the capabilities of Students and graduates of universities and employees of the Arab world, and support for digital transformation in Arab university and educational institutions.
