Abu Dhabi
The work of the meeting (54) of the Higher Coordinating Committee for joint Arab action and the meeting (6) of the forum of qualitative, specialized Arab federations were concluded, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The work of the committees continued for 4 days, and the meetings discussed the issues on their agenda, including food security, the required role of specialized Arab organizations, the results of the work of the 31st session of the League of Arab States Council at the level of the summit held in Algiers in November 2022, and the results of the work of the Climate Summit “COP27”. And held in Sharm El-Sheikh in mid-November 2022, as well as the proposal of the Arab Labor Organization “organizing an Arab / international conference on the digital economy and the role of the private sector in development and employment” and reviewing the Arab strategy for cybersecurity.
The initiatives and projects of joint Arab action organizations and institutions to prepare for the Arab economic and social development summit in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania “Nouakchott” were also discussed and presented.
The meeting discussed the issues raised, including the required role of the Arab federations within the framework of the outcomes of the Arab summit held in Algeria in November 2022, the outcomes of the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change held in Sharm El-Sheikh in mid-November 2022, and the Arab vision for the digital economy. Which was prepared by the Arab Union for Digital Economy, as well as the results of the work of the International Arab Conference and Exhibition for Small and Medium Industries, which was held in Algeria in November 2022.
