The Arab Federation for Digital Economy of the Council of Arab Economic Unity of the League of Arab States held a coordination meeting with the Ankabut Network, which is run by the Khalifa University of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Dr. Ayman Mukhtar Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy and Mr. Fahim Al-Nuaimi, CEO of Ankabut Network, and representatives of both sides.

The meeting included a discussion of the proposed means of cooperation on the Arab Digital League project, which is one of the initiatives emanating from the Arab vision for the digital economy for the benefit of the Arab region. Both sides expressed their desire for joint cooperation to make the initiative a success.

It is worth noting that the Arab vision for the digital economy was announced for the first time at the International Conference on the Arab Digital Economy, which was held in Abu Dhabi in December 2018, under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and in the presence of many executives and officials in the Arab countries. Harvard University, Cairo University, international organizations, and experts from the United Nations, the World Bank, the International Economic Cooperation Organization, and the European Union participated in the preparation of the “Arab Vision.”
