The Arab Federation for Digital Economy and the Federation of Brazilian Arab Chambers sign a memorandum of understanding

The Arab Union for Digital Economy concluded a memorandum of understanding with the Federation of Brazilian Arab Chambers with the aim of enhancing cooperation in implementing some initiatives emanating from the “Arab vision for the digital economy”, including the e-commerce project and the Arab digital food market platform, for the benefit of the Arab and Brazilian regions.

The memorandum is an affirmation of the importance of the federation’s endeavor to make all possible efforts by the parties participating in the project to achieve Arab food security, and based on the Arab vision for the digital economy, which was adopted at the thirty-first session of the Arab Summit held in Algiers on November 1-2, 2022.

The memorandum was signed by Dr. Ayman Mukhtar Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Union for Digital Economy, and Tamer Mansour, Executive Director and Secretary General of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohamed Al-Khouri, Advisor to the Council of Arab Economic Unity and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Union for Digital Economy, and Shaheen Ali Shaheen, Advisor Chamber of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

It is worth noting that the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce is the only chamber in Brazil that is officially recognized by the League of Arab States and the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for the Arab countries. It has a team specialized in checking documents and documents according to the rules of origin and the requirements of the Arab importer at the same time. With an annual trade volume exceeding $22 billion, it also has two offices outside Brazil, one in Dubai, UAE, and the second in Egypt.
