The meetings of the seventh session of the Forum of Specific, Specialized Arab Federations, which were held in Salalah, Sultanate of Oman, during the period from July 29 to August 1, 2023, ended with a set of important recommendations that would activate Arab cooperation and coordination between Arab federations and governments. The activation of the Arab Food Market and the Arab Digital League platforms was also welcomed, and the facilitation of intra-trade and encouragement of Arab products was recommended, as well as issues related to addressing conflicts within refugee countries.

The forum was held under the auspices of His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, and in the presence of His Excellency Minister Plenipotentiary Mohamed Khair Abdel Qader, Director of the Arab Organizations and Federations Department, and His Excellency Ahmed bin Muhammad Al Jarwan. President of the General Union of Arab Experts and Head of the Executive Office of the Forum, with the participation of the Arab Union for Digital Economy, Dr. Sultan bin Khamis Al Yahyai, ​​President of the Arab Union for Tourism Media, His Excellency Major General Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai, His Excellency Faisal Al-Rawas, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Sultanate of Oman, and with the participation of presidents and general secretaries For specialized qualitative Arab federations and the technical secretariat of the forum.

It is worth noting that the Arab Food Market platform and the Arab Digital League are among the most important initiatives of the Arab Union for the current digital economy, with an ambitious vision to support basic infrastructure, knowledge, legislative and technological frameworks, deepen and spread the culture of digital economy throughout the Arab countries, support digital national plans, and mobilize Arab capabilities and efforts, global participation, and support for Arab sustainable development.

The “Arab Food Market Platform” aims to link the various components of the Arab food markets with sellers and buyers and all supporting services that include services – certificates, financing, credit and customs insurance – with applied mechanisms that meet claims according to the mechanism of agreed contracts, including international government accounts, according to the standards of the system. Which accepts both importers and exporters.

The digital university platform provides comprehensive and diverse educational services for universities, students, employees and individuals interested in developing their scientific and knowledge skills in meeting the needs of the labor market and achieving sustainable development goals in the region, and supports the creation of professional digital materials to meet the needs of the market, and encourages digital change in universities, schools and other educational institutions in Arab region.

For his part, HE Minister Plenipotentiary Mohamed Khair Abdel Qader called for the importance of cooperation between Arab organizations, and for contributing to presenting initiatives and proposals to develop and revitalize the joint Arab action system.
