Under the patronage of Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, the activities of the Digital Economy Technologies Conference and Exhibition “Seamless Middle East 2024” will be held during the period from May 14 to 16 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center, jointly organized by the League of Nations. Arab League, the Arab Federation for the Digital Economy, and the international conference organizing company, Terrapin.
This year, the conference is expected to witness the announcement of the results of the Arab Index for the Digital Economy 2024 report, as it aims to provide a detailed benchmark for each country separately through which the level of maturity of the experience of transition towards the digital economy and the benefits from it can be assessed, and to find the required feedback to enable the decision maker to move towards… Directing the compass appropriately to maximize the return on the overall economy, which must achieve the desired benefit from digital transformation and the spread of technological applications.
Two new initiatives will also be announced during the conference activities. The first is the initiative of the Arab and Islamic Center for Joint Scientific Research in partnership with the British Institute of Technology. The initiative aims to establish a complex for scientific research at the level of Arab and Islamic countries and pay attention to issues of technology development and the digital economy.
The second initiative is the announcement of the Arab Program for Artificial Intelligence Applications in partnership with the Singapore Investment Company. This initiative seeks to develop a generative artificial intelligence system in the Arabic language. The initiative focuses on integrating artificial intelligence into basic sectors such as education, health, and government services to enhance the efficiency of operational processes and innovation.
The conference and exhibition is the largest in the Middle East in the field of digital economy topics, with the participation of more than 600 international companies and 400 startups.
This year’s edition will witness a distinguished attendance, with more than 25,000 visitors registered so far, and more than 500 speakers from international bodies participating in 200 specialized sessions held on the sidelines of the exhibition that shed light on the latest technologies and challenges in the world of the digital revolution.
An elite group of international experts will participate in the conference sessions in the main themes of the conference, which are digital banking services, digital identity, financial technology, digital currencies, electronic and digital payments, lending services, e-commerce, the retail sector, logistics services, electronic marketing, and the banking sector. In addition to dozens of sessions and lectures on advanced digital applications in the public and private sectors.
