The Arab Federation for the Digital Economy launched the initiative of the Arab and Islamic Center for Joint Scientific Research (Hikma) in partnership with the British Institute of Technology, during the Digital Economy Technologies Conference and Exhibition “Seamless Middle East 2024”, which will be held at the Convention and Exhibition Center in Dubai during the period from May 14-16. 2024 sponsored by the League of Arab States.
The initiative aims to establish a complex for scientific research at the level of Arab and Islamic countries and pay attention to issues of technology development and the digital economy. The complex focuses on developing advanced technology and the digital economy within Arab countries and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and seeks to form scientific councils with experience and responsibility from international, Arab and Islamic figures.
The complex will work in the first phase to secure the necessary legal, scientific, and financial support to ensure the center’s sustainability and success. This initiative is similar to the Horizon Initiative implemented by the European Union for joint scientific research among its countries.
