The Arab Federation for Digital Economy participated in the 57th General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities, held at the International University in Kuwait from April 23-24, 2025. The conference was attended by a select group of Arab academic and governmental bodies and higher education institutions.

During the conference, the Union reviewed its most prominent strategic initiatives in the field of digital transformation in university education , most notably the Arab Digital Education Platform , one of the pioneering initiatives stemming from the Arab Vision for the Digital Economy, which was adopted by the Arab Summit in Algeria in 2022. The platform aims to enable Arab universities to develop interactive educational content supported by smart technologies, in line with the objectives of the Arab Vision for the Digital Economy, adopted by the Arab Summit in Algeria in 2022.

Dr. Ayman Mokhtar Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary-General of the Federation, also presented the “Future Business Leaders  program , which saw the participation of more than 2,200 trainees from Arab countries. This reflects the growing demand for specialized digital programs that enhance the readiness of Arab talent for the next phase of the digital economy.

He emphasized that the Arab Digital Education Platform represents a comprehensive Arab model for employing technology in the service of higher education, providing a smart learning environment that enables universities to create interactive educational content, conduct tests and assignments electronically, and issue digital certificates, thus enhancing the efficiency of the Arab higher education system and advancing it toward the future.

Ghanem pointed out that this platform is not limited to the technical aspect, but rather is based on quality governance standards, linking content to educational objectives, providing accurate analytical reports on student performance, and providing advanced tools for faculty to manage the educational process smoothly and effectively.

In its speech, the Federation’s delegation emphasized the importance of partnerships with higher education institutions in the region, calling on Arab universities to join the platform and benefit from the technical and training support provided by the Federation to achieve digital integration in the educational process.

The Federation concluded its participation by calling for expanding the partnership base, urging Arab universities to join the platform and benefit from the technical and training support provided by the Federation to achieve digital integration in the educational process and the complete digital transformation of educational and training programs.
