Dubai Future Foundation to Organize First Edition of Dubai Artificial Intelligence Week on April 21

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, Dubai Artificial Intelligence Week, organized by the Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), an initiative of the Dubai Future Foundation, will launch on Monday, April 21, and run for five days until April 25.

His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation, emphasized that Dubai is continuing to consolidate its position as a global destination for designing the future of artificial intelligence and a hub for the most prominent global technology companies specializing in this future sector, thanks to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation.

His Excellency Mohammed Al Gergawi stated that organizing Dubai Artificial Intelligence Week represents a key milestone in the UAE and Dubai’s journey to achieve future goals and integrated national strategies aimed at accelerating the adoption and use of AI applications in the public and private sectors and developing innovative and impactful solutions.

He added that AI Week will bring together the most prominent creative minds and experts from around the world to develop smart solutions that serve humanity as a whole and maximize future development opportunities. The event will also serve as a global platform to highlight best practices in adopting AI and stimulating innovation.

His Excellency highlighted the importance of the participation of government entities from the UAE and around the world in this global event, which provides an opportunity to strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors, showcase the latest AI innovations, and explore ways to employ modern technological applications to serve communities, strengthen economies, and create new development channels and tools that accelerate growth. He also highlighted the importance of exchanging expertise with specialists and participants from around the world during the week’s events, highlighting the latest technologies, talents, and promising companies.

 

Dubai Artificial Intelligence Week includes nine major events across Dubai, including the AI ​​Retreat on Monday, April 21, at the Museum of the Future; the Dubai AI Forum from April 21 to 25, at Area 2071, Emirates Towers; the International AI Challenge from April 22 to 23, at Area 2071, Emirates Towers; the Dubai AI Festival from April 23 to 24, Madinat Jumeirah; the Machines Can See Summit from April 23 to 24, at the Museum of the Future and Area 2071, Emirates Towers; the AI ​​Innovation Conference from April 22 to 24, at the Grand Hyatt Dubai; the HIMSS 2025 Conference, the global event specializing in the future of health, on Wednesday, April 23, at the Emirates Towers Hotel; and the Dubai AI Week Hackathon on Friday, April 25, at Area 2071, Emirates Towers. A comprehensive program of The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) organizes events in Dubai schools throughout the week.

Dubai Artificial Intelligence Week attracts more than 10,000 participants, including experts and specialists from 100 countries. Its agenda includes more than 150 keynote sessions, panel discussions, and workshops, with more than 180 speakers from the UAE and around the world participating, discussing the future of artificial intelligence and its role in various sectors.

The week’s activities will feature the participation of more than 15 international delegations from around the world, including South Korea, Canada, India, Australia, Germany, Italy, South Africa, the United States, and others. More than 25 major global technology companies, including Google, Microsoft, Meta, IBM, Gartner, and Swift, will share their expertise and future visions with participants and attendees, who will also have the opportunity to explore more than 140 diverse interactive experiences.

The list of strategic partners for Dubai AI Week includes the Dubai Digital Authority, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, and the UAE Government’s Office of Artificial Intelligence. Other partners include Meta, IBM, Google, Microsoft, Gartner, Swift, OpenAI, NVIDIA, OpenAI, Palantir, Cohere, ElevenLabs, and others.

The AI ​​Retreat will host more than 100 experts and specialists from the public and private sectors, policymakers, and leaders in AI-related industries from around the world in closed-door sessions on Monday, April 21, at the Museum of the Future.

Thousands of officials, experts, decision-makers, and international speakers specializing in the AI ​​sector, along with global influencers and technology leaders, will participate in the Dubai Artificial Intelligence Forum, which will take part in 25 key dialogue sessions at Area 2071 in Emirates Towers from April 21 to 25. The forum will also feature several unique experiences presented by the world’s leading AI companies.

 

The largest challenge of its kind provides an opportunity for AI-based Prompt Engineers from around the world to showcase their skills in harnessing the capabilities of generative AI and using its various applications, such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, and others, to produce new and distinctive content within a specified time frame by writing clear and precise code. The International AI Challenge will be held on April 22 and 23 at Emirates Towers in Dubai.

The Dubai AI Festival will be held on April 23 and 24, 2025, at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai. The festival is organized by Campus Dubai AI in partnership with the Dubai International Financial Centre and the UAE Government’s Artificial Intelligence Office, to explore the transformative impact of AI across various sectors.

The two-day Machines Can See 2025 Summit, organized by Polynum Events in collaboration with the UAE Government’s Office of Artificial Intelligence, is a prominent event bringing together industry leaders and senior executives from major technology companies and startups, as well as leading academic researchers. It provides networking and growth opportunities for organizations seeking to strengthen their presence in the region’s thriving AI landscape and attract top talent.

The AI ​​Innovation Conference, organized by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai from April 22 to 24 at the Grand Hyatt Dubai during Dubai Artificial Intelligence Week, aims to promote research and development initiatives in technology and AI, support scientific and educational capabilities locally and globally, and showcase the latest applications that contribute to empowering public institutions and advancing the educational process.

The HIMSS 2025 Conference, a global event specializing in the future of health, will be held on Wednesday, April 23, at the Emirates Towers Hotel, with the support of the Dubai Health Authority and the Emirates Health Services Corporation.

This event represents an exclusive opportunity for direct networking and exchange of insights related to the transformation of the healthcare sector in the Middle East. It highlights several important topics, such as exploring the future of generative AI in healthcare, genomics, and precision medicine, as well as highlighting innovative tools that contribute to accelerating digital transformation and enhancing its outcomes.

The Dubai AI Week Hackathon, which will take place on Friday, April 25, at Area 2071 in Emirates Towers, includes a set of challenges in which innovators participate to design autonomous AI agents that operate without human intervention to assist humans in their daily lives, solve real-life problems, and contribute to shaping the future of AI in Dubai.

Dubai AI Week events also include the launch of a comprehensive weekday program in schools across the Emirate, in cooperation with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). This program aims to educate students about the concepts and future uses of AI and encourage them to participate in shaping the future of various sectors.

 

The Dubai Artificial Intelligence Week activities highlight the various opportunities and future trends of this technology across six key sectors, including governments and legislation, major global companies, future talents, startups, technology makers, and school and university students.

More than 100 government officials and experts from the public and private sectors will discuss the role of governments in employing positive AI applications and how to develop legislation in partnership with the private sector to keep pace with the rapid development of AI tools during the AI ​​Retreat.

Industry leaders, experts, and officials from major global companies will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, ideas, and visions and share the latest future trends under the umbrella of the Dubai Artificial Intelligence Forum through dialogue sessions and interactive and qualitative presentations.

The International AI Challenge provides a global platform for exceptional talents, allowing them to showcase their skills in using AI applications to develop new content in the arts, programming, electronic games, and video, using the best programming commands. During the Dubai AI Week Hackathon: Autonomous Models, innovators will work to create AI agents that operate without human intervention to assist humans in their daily lives. Organized by the Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence, the hackathon will be open to investors, business leaders, large corporations, and startups. They will also have the opportunity to network, forge partnerships, and conclude impactful collaborations, and benefit from the world’s most prominent gathering of AI opportunities during the Dubai AI Festival.
