His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, affirmed that the UAE, thanks to its leadership vision and advanced infrastructure, has become a global model for efficient and sustainable supply chains.
This came in his opening remarks at the International Procurement and Supply Chain Conference (IPSC), held at the W Hotel in Dubai under the theme “Redefining Global Trade: The UAE Shapes Sustainable Supply Chains for the Future.” More than 500 leaders, experts, and decision-makers from around the world participated in the conference, discussing the UAE’s pioneering role in driving innovation in sustainable trade amid rapid economic transformations.
His Excellency stated that supply chains have become an essential component of modern societies, likening them to electricity in homes, the importance of which many people only realize when it is interrupted or disrupted.
He added, “We recognize the fragility of these chains, and it has become imperative that they be resilient, secure, innovative, data-driven, and able to adapt to accelerating global changes.”
His Excellency emphasized that recent crises, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, maritime incidents, and geopolitical challenges, have revealed the urgent need for government and institutional cooperation to ensure the sustainability and efficiency of supply chains, given their direct impact on the well-being of societies and the health of the planet.
His Excellency added that the UAE has invested in ports, airports, free zones, and manufacturing capabilities, and has embraced modern technology and a transparent and open approach, strengthening its global standing in this field.
His Excellency explained that these achievements would not have been possible without the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, who place great importance on infrastructure, economic development, and sustainability.
He stated that the UAE not only seeks to achieve its national interests, but also to provide a global model to emulate in building efficient and secure supply chains. We welcome international cooperation and consider supply chains a fundamental pillar of national security and the national economy, as well as a pivotal element in the system of innovation and creativity.
At the end of his speech, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan expressed optimism about the tangible results that the conference would achieve, stating that cooperation in the field of supply chains is essential to achieving global economic growth and regional integration. and international.

At the conclusion of the conference, it was announced that the next edition would be held in New Delhi.
