His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, inaugurated the Seamless Middle East 2025 Digital Economy Technology Conference and Exhibition this morning. The conference is being held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 20 to 22, under the patronage of the League of Arab States. The conference is being attended by high-level officials, experts, and digital sector leaders from around the world.
The conference was attended by His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, along with a number of prominent figures: His Royal Highness Prince Mishaal bin Mohammed bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Sheikh Daij Jaber Al Ali Al Sabah; His Excellency Omar Al Olama, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy; His Excellency Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Qatar; His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transport and Telecommunications of the Kingdom of Bahrain; and His Excellency Engineer Atef Al-Awadhi, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and the Future. Helmy, former Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Egypt; His Excellency Hani Mohamed Mahmoud, former Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Egypt; Her Excellency Rukia Al-Derham, former Minister of Digital Economy of Morocco; His Excellency Khaled Al-Jaradi, Advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman; His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Ahmed Al-Nai, Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity; Her Excellency Sheikha Nawal Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, President of the Arab Federation for Combating Counterfeiting and Forgery; Counselor Khairy Ahmed Al-Kabbash, President of the Court of Appeal of Egypt; His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University; His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamed Osman El-Khosht, Member of the Supreme Scientific Council of the Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities; His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohamed Al-Khouri, Advisor to the Council of Arab Economic Unity and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy; in addition to a number of Arab ambassadors accredited to the UAE, numerous Arab delegations, officials from the public and private sectors, and experts in the field of digital economy.
The conference is held within the framework of the “Arab Vision for Digital Economy,” an initiative launched in Abu Dhabi in 2018 with the support and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and adopted at the Summit. Arab leaders in 2022. The conference will be attended by representatives of international institutions and organizations, such as the United Nations and the World Bank, as well as numerous regional and global companies in the field of the digital economy.
The conference is organized in collaboration with the Arab Federation for Digital Economy and Terrapinn International Conference Management. The conference sessions will feature a number of government officials from the Arab region, in addition to a group of private sector leaders and international experts in the main topics covered by the conference, which include electronic payments, e-commerce, digital identity, the retail sector, financial technology, banking services, logistics services, e-marketing, and the banking sector.
