The Council of Arab Economic Unity awarded His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Al Khouri, Advisor to the Council of Arab Economic Unity and President of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, the Arab Economic Personality of the Year 2025 Award, in recognition of his influential contributions to the digital economy and digital development at the Arab and international levels.
His Excellency Ambassador Mohammadi Ahmed Al-Nai, Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity, presented the award during a ceremony held as part of the Seamless Middle East 2025 Conference and Exhibition in Dubai, attended by high-level Arab and international officials.
Dr. Al Khouri was selected in recognition of his outstanding efforts in leading strategic projects that have brought about a qualitative shift in the Arab region. Most notably, his participation in the Arab Digital Economy Vision initiative, which received significant support from the League of Arab States and the United Arab Emirates, in addition to his pivotal role in implementing regional and international initiatives that have contributed to the development of digital infrastructure and stimulating economic growth in Arab countries. In his speech during the ceremony, His Excellency Ambassador Mohammadi Ahmed Al-Ni said, “Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri represents a unique model of strategic and administrative leadership in the Arab region. His distinguished efforts have resulted in a tangible impact on the reality of the digital economy and digital development. We are proud to honor today a figure who has been able to present innovative visions and manage projects that have brought about positive changes on the ground, the results of which have clearly reflected in the economic and social growth of our Arab nation.”
It is worth noting that Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri is one of the world’s leading experts in the field of digital transformation. He has previously received prestigious international awards and recognition, including the United Nations Award for Best Service Projects in the Government Sector in 2015. He has made extensive contributions to digital transformation projects in many countries in the region, in addition to his consulting work with a number of major international institutions.
