The Council of Arab Economic Unity reviews the implementation mechanisms of the digital strategy

A delegation from the Council of Arab Economic Unity, headed by Ambassador Mohamed Mohamed Al-Rabie, Secretary-General of the Council, held a meeting with officials at Cairo University to follow up on the implementation mechanisms of the Arab Digital Economy Strategy Study.

The Council reviewed the initial reviews conducted by members of the review committee, composed of 70 international experts from international organizations such as the United Nations, the World Bank, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, the UK Government Digital Service, the World Economic Forum, and other international institutions.

The Council’s subcommittee is working to develop and review all the strategy’s outputs to ensure global content and delivery and achieve the desired goals of sustainable development in the Arab world.

The regular meeting also reviewed the components of the draft strategy and a number of initiatives that will contribute to the strategy’s subsequent implementation mechanisms.

Dr. Ayman Saad Nasr El-Din El-Khatib, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research at Cairo University, praised the efforts of the Council of Arab Economic Unity and the unprecedented initiative that strengthens close cooperation with international organizations.

The Council of Arab Economic Unity is the body responsible for implementing the strategy and strengthening the efforts of effective international institutions concerned with developing global economies and programs for social stability and development.
