As part of strengthening Arab partnerships in the digital economy, the Arab Federation for Digital Economy received His Excellency Jumaa Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman, at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Al Khouri, Chairman of the Federation’s Board of Directors, and Dr. Ayman Mukhtar Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary-General of the Federation. The meeting discussed prospects for joint cooperation and exchanged views on a number of digital initiatives and projects of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the Assistant Secretary-General of the Union reviewed a number of strategic initiatives he is working on, including the Arab Food Market platform, digital education and training programs, and other projects within the “Arab Vision for the Digital Economy,” which aims to support food security, empower talent, and promote digital transformation in the Arab world.
His Excellency the Ambassador commended these projects, noting the importance of integrating Arab efforts in this vital field, and emphasizing the possibility of activating cooperation between the Union and relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman. The meeting also reviewed a number of ongoing bilateral initiatives and projects between the two countries, particularly in the economic and development fields. Among these was a proposal to organize a regional digital economy forum in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, which would address strategic themes related to the future of the digital economy in the region, with the invitation of specialists, experts, and relevant authorities from various Arab countries.
His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, expressed the Federation’s full readiness to coordinate and participate in any effort that serves the advancement of the Arab region, providing organizational and knowledge support for its success, thus enhancing the Arab region’s position as an active hub in the Arab digital economy landscape.
