The Arab Federation for Digital Economy is discussing cooperation with the Ministry of Telecommunications and Digital Economy in Palestine.

The Arab Federation for Digital Economy held a coordination meeting with His Excellency Dr. Abdel Razzaq Natsheh, Minister of Telecommunications and Digital Economy in the State of Palestine, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri, President of the Federation, and His Excellency Ambassador Ali Younis, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the United Arab Emirates, along with a number of representatives from both sides.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri welcomed the Minister and his accompanying delegation, emphasizing the importance of developing channels for joint work between the Union and the Ministry, which would contribute to supporting the digital transformation process in the Arab region and enhance Palestine’s role in this vital path.

During the meeting, Dr. Ayman Mokhtar Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary-General of the Union, gave a comprehensive presentation on the Union’s most prominent projects and initiatives, most notably the Arab Food Market Platform , which aims to consolidate Arab food security by linking supply chains and facilitating inter-regional trade using advanced digital solutions, contributing to reducing food gaps and supporting national economies. He also reviewed the Masarat Digital Education Initiative , designed to provide a modern educational environment that enables students in Arab countries to access advanced educational content that enhances human capabilities and supports innovation and scientific research.

 

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Abdel Razzaq Natsheh, Chairman of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the hosting and the efforts made to promote the digital economy and digital transformation in the Arab region. His Excellency also briefed the attendees on the current status of digital transformation and the digital economy in the State of Palestine, and the achievements made despite the existing challenges. He also reviewed the future aspirations and Palestinian vision for advancing the digital economy at the local and regional levels, emphasizing the central role of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Digital Economy in leading these efforts and enhancing regional and international cooperation to consolidate Palestine’s position within the Arab digital economy system and contribute to achieving sustainable development based on knowledge and innovation.

The meeting discussed AI-related projects, both at the joint Arab level and within the framework of international cooperation, and the Union’s role in coordinating these initiatives and facilitating specialized partnerships. It was emphasized that these efforts are in line with the Arab Vision for the Digital Economy launched by the Union, and constitute a strategic roadmap for developing the education, food, and digital infrastructure sectors to achieve sustainable development and enhance Arab presence in the global economy.

His Excellency the Minister commended the Union’s active role in launching pioneering projects with a tangible impact, considering them a model that can be built upon to support development paths in Palestine. He noted that accelerating digital transformation programs has become an urgent necessity to advance the national economy and develop both government services and the private sector.

For his part, Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri affirmed the Arab Federation for Digital Economy’s readiness to provide technical and knowledge support and put its expertise at the service of the Palestinian Ministry of Telecommunications and Digital Economy, helping accelerate the implementation of national digital transformation plans.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to continue coordination between the two sides and identify shared priorities for cooperation, including building practical partnerships, implementing specialized training programs, and developing digital infrastructure projects. This will enhance Palestine’s position in the Arab and international digital economy system and support the path of joint Arab action.
