The Arab Federation for Digital Economy participated in the “ China-Arab Investment and Technology Summit  , which was held on December 9, 2025 at the Edition Hotel in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with the participation of senior investors and technology leaders from around the world to discuss the future of digital transformation, investment partnerships, and representatives of sovereign wealth funds and technology leaders from Asia, the Middle East, the United States and Europe.

The Federation was represented at the summit by Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Shaiba Al Ali, a member of the General Assembly, who delivered a keynote address highlighting the importance of the Arab-Chinese partnership in shaping a sustainable digital future. Dr. Al Shaiba emphasized that the digital economy has become a fundamental driver of sustainable growth and job creation, not merely a future vision.

Dr. Al-Shaiba also reviewed the Arab Vision for the Digital Economy, adopted by Arab leaders in 2022, which is based on five strategic pillars: digital infrastructure, digital government, innovation, digital business, and digital citizenship. He highlighted the Arab Digital Economy Index as a periodic measurement tool for assessing progress and guiding transformation efforts in the region.

Dr. Al-Shaiba called for the establishment of international partnerships based on a mutually beneficial approach and respect for strategic priorities, noting that China’s experience in digital infrastructure, e-commerce and smart industries provides valuable support to Arab development efforts.
