The Arab Federation for Digital Economy discusses with Forbes prospects for strategic cooperation in the digital economy

The Arab Federation for Digital Economy held a coordination meeting with Dr. Peter C. Hong, President of Global Licensing and Branded Projects at Forbes Media, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri, Advisor to the Council of Arab Economic Unity, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, and Dr. Ayman Mukhtar Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary-General of the Federation, to discuss prospects for strategic cooperation between the two sides in the fields of digital economy.

During the meeting, the pivotal role played by the Federation in supporting digital transformation in the Arab region was reviewed, along with an introduction to its most prominent initiatives and strategic projects, most notably the Arab Vision for the Digital Economy, its anticipated updates, and the Arab Digital Economy Index, as regional references that contribute to supporting decision-makers and formulating public policies.

The participants discussed opportunities to develop quality partnerships with Forbes, including launching high-level international conferences that bring together senior policymakers and business leaders, as well as cooperating in preparing executive surveys and in-depth interviews with senior leaders in a number of Arab countries, which enhances the qualitative and analytical dimension of the Arab Digital Economy Index and its knowledge outputs.

The meeting also addressed mechanisms for joint publication of specialized studies and reports of common interest, and discussed the idea of ​​establishing a platform or business club in Abu Dhabi concerned with dialogue on digital policies, innovation, investment trends, and emerging economic opportunities in the region.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants stressed the importance of building on the outcomes of this meeting by preparing a memorandum of understanding that would allow for rapid implementation and open up broader horizons for future cooperation, thereby contributing to consolidating the position of the Arab digital economy and strengthening its presence at the regional and international levels.
