The Sustainable Development Committee holds its second meeting to discuss sustainable digital transformation initiatives in the Arab region.

The Sustainable Development Committee held its second meeting via video conference, in the presence of His Excellency Ambassador Ashraf Rashid, Chairman of the Committee, and Her Excellency Minister Plenipotentiary Dr. Nada Al-Ajeizi, Director of the Department of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation at the League of Arab States, and in the presence of members of the Committee and representatives of the Department.

 

The meeting witnessed a review of the roadmap towards sustainable digital transformation 2025-2030, which is being prepared by the Department of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation at the League of Arab States, with the participation of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy and a number of relevant regional and international bodies.

 

The meeting discussed the main themes of the roadmap, which aims to support sustainable digital transformation paths in Arab countries, contributing to the development of policies and initiatives related to sustainable development, and keeping pace with rapid technological and economic changes at the regional and international levels.

 

During the meeting, the Sustainable Development Committee also reviewed the most prominent efforts and initiatives it is working on, aimed at supporting the integration between digital transformation and the Sustainable Development Goals, and coordinating between the concerned parties to exchange experiences and best practices in this field.
