The Arab Federation for Digital Economy is exploring cooperation with Jordan in data center projects and the semiconductor industry.

The Arab Federation for Digital Economy held a coordination meeting via video conference with the Consul at the Jordanian Embassy in the UAE, Her Excellency Jawaher Haddad, to discuss ways of joint cooperation in the fields of digital transformation and technological infrastructure.

During the meeting, Dr. Ayman Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary-General of the Federation , presented the Federation‘s vision for supporting Arab countries, highlighting its strategic initiative, the “Arab Digital Economy Index 2026.” The meeting also addressed opportunities for collaboration with leading international companies specializing in data center construction and advanced semiconductor manufacturing, exploring the possibility of transferring this expertise to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to bolster its data hosting capabilities and technology localization.

The discussion also touched upon the “Arab Projects Portal” project, adopted by the Council of Arab Ministers of Communications and Information, which aims to connect Arab ministries with international partners to implement strategic technology projects. For her part, Her Excellency Jawaher Haddad expressed Jordan’s interest in developing these partnerships, emphasizing the role of the Jordanian Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in following up on these vital technology initiatives.
