His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri, President of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, discussed with leaders of the Chinese Digital Communications Group (DCG) opportunities to employ artificial intelligence technologies in developing digital education, and to benefit from advanced language models to expand access to knowledge content and support digital transformation in Arab educational institutions.
The meeting comes as part of His Excellency’s visit to the People’s Republic of China, with the aim of expanding the Federation’s international partnership network and exploring digital technologies that can be employed in implementing its projects and initiatives.
During the meeting, the company reviewed its specialized language model in the education and publishing sector, which is based on a knowledge base of more than two million licensed books and supports 38 languages, including Arabic, enabling the development of advanced educational solutions and expanding access to multilingual digital content.
The discussions also addressed opportunities to develop the Arab e-learning platform through artificial intelligence applications, explore digital certification programs, and support digital transformation pathways in universities and educational institutions.
The two sides discussed the potential for utilizing AI-powered translation technologies to make Chinese content available to Arab users, thereby contributing to expanding knowledge and cultural exchange and opening new horizons for cooperation in the fields of education and scientific research.
Both parties agreed to continue coordinating during the next phase to review practical models of the proposed solutions and discuss mechanisms for implementing them in accordance with the needs of the digital education sector in the Arab region.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Tang, Head of the Sub-Offices of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy in the People’s Republic of China, and Mr. Jet, Executive Director of the Federation’s offices in China, along with a number of representatives from both sides.
