South China Agricultural University appoints the President of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy as an academic advisor for professional master’s programs until 2030.

South China Agricultural University announced the appointment of His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri, President of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, as an academic advisor for professional master’s programs in the Faculty of Economics and Management, for the period from 2026 to 2030, to benefit from his scientific and practical experience in developing academic programs and linking them to professional applications in the fields of digital economy, management and innovation.

The appointment was announced during an official ceremony held at the university headquarters, attended by Professor Li Fengliang, the university president, Professor Chen Litian, the university vice president, Professor Lu Mingzhong, dean of the School of Economics and Management, along with a number of academic leaders and faculty members.

The university explained that the selection of His Excellency Advisor Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri was based on his scientific and professional record, his contributions to the development of institutional policies and practices, as well as his participation in the design and implementation of a number of digital initiatives, platforms and strategic projects that have had a tangible impact at the Arab and international levels, in addition to his research and academic contributions in the fields of digital economy, digital transformation, innovation and institutional development.

The university noted that Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri’s extensive experience in leading digital initiatives and developing institutional policies and practices at the Arab and international levels will provide added value to the professional master’s programs, and serve the university’s goals of benefiting from applied experiences in enriching academic content, and providing access to global experiences in the fields of digital economy, digital transformation, innovation, and institutional development.

The university also noted that Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri has a broad academic and international presence, and holds a number of scientific and advisory positions and memberships in international academic and research institutions, in addition to his contributions to the preparation of strategic studies and reports, and his publication of more than 200 books, research papers and scientific studies in the fields of digital economy, artificial intelligence, governance, technology and public policy.

According to the appointment decision, His Excellency Counselor Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri will participate in guiding the professional master’s programs at the College of Economics and Management, contributing to the development of curricula, and linking academic programs to the needs of the economic sectors.

This appointment comes as part of the university’s direction to expand the use of international expertise in developing its academic and research programs, and linking them to practical applications in the fields of smart agriculture, food technologies, digitization of supply chains, and the digital economy.

The areas of work that Consultant Al-Khoury will participate in include the development of digital agricultural trade applications, smart agriculture, and the digitization of supply chains, taking advantage of the university’s research expertise and the applied experiences led by Consultant Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khoury in the Arab region.
