Under the patronage of Mohammed bin Zayed, the Arab Digital Economy Conference kicks off in Abu Dhabi

The first edition of the Arab Digital Economy Conference kicked off under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The two-day event will witness the launch of the joint Arab vision for the digital economy, aiming to activate and enhance joint Arab cooperation based on digital knowledge, develop technological and legislative infrastructure, and support digital transformation and technological development plans in Arab countries.

The Digital Economy Conference is a new platform for designing a strategic map for investments, formulating policies, and developing technologies, by embracing the reshaping of operations, products, and services using digital technology.

The conference aims to establish and establish a collaborative digital economy that can help Arab societies meet challenges. Organized by the Council of Arab Economic Unity, the two-day conference will review artificial intelligence, technology, digital transformation plans, future cities, financial transparency, innovation in healthcare technology, innovation in vehicles, big data, virtual reality and blockchain, 3D printing, and robotics.

The conference will be attended by Tarek Amer, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, and Ayman Hussein, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank. Representatives from Arab countries, ministers of finance and economy, central bank governors, representatives of chambers of commerce and industry, prominent businessmen and investors, international experts in the digital economy, and participants from the United Nations, the World Bank, the European Commission, and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will also be present.

The event is being held to keep pace with major global transformations in the digital economy by mobilizing Arab capabilities and international expertise and activating joint Arab cooperation to achieve a set of positive goals that will advance Arab societies.

The conference supports the Sustainability Summit working groups in the Digital Economy Conference program, focusing on key aspects of technological innovation in basic industrial sectors and the impact of innovation on today’s societies.

The first Arab Digital Economy Conference kicked off today, Sunday, in Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The conference aims to launch a common Arab vision for the digital economy as a key factor encouraging increased economic cooperation and inter-Arab trade.
