In the Jordanian capital, Amman, the work of the periodic meeting (57) of the specialized qualitative Arab federations operating within the framework of the League of Arab States, which was held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on May 28, 2023, was organized by the Arab Federation of Arab Trainers and the Council of Arab Economic Unity, to identify the aspirations and challenges facing the federations. and its members in activating joint Arab action.
The meeting was held under the patronage of His Excellency / Faisal Al-Fayez, Speaker of the Jordanian Senate, and in the presence of His Excellency / Youssef Al-Shamali, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and His Excellency Ambassador Muhammadi Ahmed Al-Nani, Secretary General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity, and His Excellency Eng. Fathi Al-Jaghbir, President of the Amman Chamber of Industry, and a high-level delegation from The Arab Union for the Digital Economy, and representatives of specialized Arab federations.
The Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity affirmed that the General Secretariat of the Council sought to achieve the goals through practical plans, strategies and programs to meet the challenges that afflict the Arab economy and reflect positively on achieving the common Arab market, leading to the desired Arab economic integration.
The meeting discussed a number of issues aimed at regulating economic relations between Arab countries, the importance of joint action to achieve sustainable development, empower youth, and create an appropriate and encouraging investment environment centered on the human element.
The meeting also discussed a range of development issues, economic files in the Arab countries, the role and efforts of the Arab federations in activating joint Arab action, unifying the Arab ranks in facing challenges, and ways of cooperation between the federations and the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Economic Unity, to ensure the activation of the role of each federation. To enhance joint action, by reviewing the visions of specialized qualitative Arab federations.
The Council of Arab Economic Unity in the League of Arab States unanimously decided – during the meetings of the 57th session of the specialized qualitative Arab federations – to hold the next session No. (58) in the Syrian capital (Damascus).
