Arab Federation for Digital Economy Explores Digital Economy and FinTech Cooperation with Zhejiang Province, China

The Arab Federation for Digital Economy (AFDE) held a coordination meeting with the Deputy Governor of Zhejiang Province, China, attended by H.E. Dr. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Advisor to the Arab Economic Unity Council and Chairman of AFDE, along with the accompanying delegation. The meeting aimed to explore ways to enhance economic and technological partnerships between the Arab world and China.

During the meeting, the AFDE delegation presented its key programs and initiatives in digital transformation, financial technology, and the development of digital infrastructure, including digital trade platforms, innovative financial solutions, and programs supporting entrepreneurs and startups. The Chinese side expressed keen interest in these initiatives, affirming its readiness to provide technical and advisory support to open new avenues for digital innovation and knowledge exchange.

The two sides also discussed mechanisms to develop strategic partnership programs between the Arab markets and Zhejiang Province, aiming to facilitate knowledge transfer, expand investment opportunities, and promote technological and economic integration between the parties.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Deputy Governor of Zhejiang expressed his appreciation for the AFDE delegation, praising the Arab Digital Economy Vision and its pioneering initiatives aimed at building a comprehensive Arab digital economy. He highlighted the UAE’s pivotal role in driving innovation and digital transformation in the region, making it a model for fostering technology-driven economic development. The Deputy Governor also expressed Zhejiang Province’s eagerness to expand cooperation with AFDE and provide a supportive environment to ensure the success of its future projects, reinforcing the Arab–Chinese partnership in the digital economy.
