The Arab Federation for Digital Economy is participating in the Global Forum on Digital Governance Solutions and the World Bank meetings in Geneva.

The Arab Federation for Digital Economy participated in the work of the Global Forum for Digital Governance Solutions “GovTech Deep-Dive” and the World Bank meetings held in Geneva on December 2 and 3, with the participation of government delegations, international experts and global technology institutions, within the framework of international efforts aimed at developing digital governance systems and supporting innovation in the public sector.

The Federation’s delegation was headed by His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri, Advisor to the Council of Arab Economic Unity and Chairman of the Federation’s Board of Directors, where the forum discussed the latest trends in the field of “GovTech”, and digital solutions that support the efficiency of government institutions, improve services, raise the level of transparency and the readiness of governments for future technological transformations.

The forum sessions, organized by the World Bank with the participation of a select group of global institutions, emphasized the importance of developing strategic partnerships between governments and the private sector to support digital transformation projects, build a flexible and innovative government digital infrastructure, and exchange experiences on international success stories in the fields of artificial intelligence, government data, institutional transformation, and digital security.

The Federation also participated in the “Trust Valley Day 2025” event held at the Geneva International Conference Centre, which brought together experts from technology institutions, cybersecurity, and the academic sector. The event focused on the concepts of digital trust and data security, and showcased the latest applications in supporting innovation, along with presentations from startups participating in the “Tech4Trust” program, one of the leading innovation acceleration programs in the field of digital trust and cybersecurity in Europe, which provides an advanced platform to support startups and enable their solutions in governmental and institutional environments.

The Federation’s delegation also attended the GovTech Innovation Challenge 2025 awards ceremony, organized by the World Bank in cooperation with the Swiss government, where the winners of the global challenge aimed at developing innovative digital solutions to deal with the requirements of the digital economy were announced.

Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri emphasized that the Federation’s participation in these international forums comes within the framework of the Federation’s strategy to develop international cooperation in the digital economy and digital governance, noting that the forum and the World Bank meetings represent an important global platform for exchanging experiences and building new partnerships to support digital transformation programs in the Arab region.

He added that the Federation is working to benefit from advanced international experiences to enhance the capabilities of Arab institutions, with a focus on digital innovation, data protection, and the development of smart government services, in order to support economic development and achieve Arab digital integration.
