The Arab Federation for Digital Economy signed a cooperation agreement with Gaochuan Holding Group of Xinchang Province in the People’s Republic of China, to establish a Chinese-Arab platform specializing in the development, application and export of robotics solutions to the Arab region, within the framework of the Arab Vision for Digital Economy projects, which aim to expand the areas of Arab-Chinese cooperation in advanced technologies.

The agreement stipulates the establishment of a platform for developing and testing robotics applications in line with the needs of Arab markets, with a focus on adapting technical solutions to suit the operational conditions in the region, in addition to developing applications that serve a number of vital sectors, including logistics, ports, energy, agriculture, and the industrial sector.

The agreement also includes the establishment of a specialized headquarters to coordinate the export of robots and related technologies to Arab countries, providing services such as showcasing technical solutions, technical testing, training, logistical support, supply chain management, and after-sales services, thus providing an integrated system to support Chinese companies wishing to expand into Arab markets.

His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri, President of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, affirmed that the agreement represents an important step in implementing the projects of the Arab Vision for Digital Economy, adopted at the Arab Summit in 2022, noting that the next stage requires building international partnerships based on knowledge transfer, developing technical applications, and transforming innovation into practical projects that serve the development priorities in Arab countries.

His Excellency added that the project aims to build an integrated system that includes exporting technological products, developing applications, training competencies, transferring expertise, and providing a supportive environment for localizing robotics and smart technology solutions, which contributes to the development of the productive and service sectors, and opens new fields for investment and innovation.

He explained that the platform will form a link between Chinese technology developers and Arab markets, facilitating technology transfer, enhancing industrial cooperation opportunities, and creating a practical environment for developing solutions that meet the region’s needs, based on the partnership between Arab and Chinese institutions.

This project comes within the framework of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy’s orientation towards building strategic partnerships with leading international institutions, developing quality projects that support the Arab digital economy, contribute to the transfer of advanced technologies, build sustainable capabilities, and expand the horizons of economic and technical cooperation between Arab countries and the People’s Republic of China.
