The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, in a move that reflects the commitment of both sides to strengthen strategic partnerships and unify efforts to build a more integrated Arab knowledge and digital system, which supports the development of institutional work, enhances human capital, and keeps pace with the rapid transformations in the digital economy.

The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation,
and His Excellency Advisor Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy.

This partnership is in line with the vision of the wise leadership to establish a highly productive knowledge economy led by national talents in an environment based on knowledge and innovation, which contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of the UAE and consolidating its position as a global center for knowledge and innovation.

The memorandum aims to establish a comprehensive framework for cooperation and the exchange of expertise and knowledge in organizing activities that support institutional development, enriching the information network across various fields, and designing and implementing joint knowledge programs that serve the objectives of both parties. This will enable the utilization of shared capabilities and expertise to support non-profit initiatives and activities aimed at enhancing the institutional work system. The memorandum also includes the exchange of knowledge products, such as specialized books and digital publications, and the promotion of joint programs and activities through the parties’ social media channels, thereby expanding the scope of benefit and amplifying the impact of joint initiatives.

His Excellency Abdullah Humaid Al Mazrouei, former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the United Arab Emirates and a member of the General Assembly of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, affirmed that cooperation between knowledge-based institutions and entities concerned with the digital economy represents a crucial step towards developing an Arab system capable of keeping pace with rapid technological transformations. He pointed out that investing in knowledge, developing digital skills, and enriching Arabic content constitutes fundamental pillars for building a sustainable economy based on innovation and human capital development. His Excellency added that expanding cooperation in the fields of knowledge, digital education, and capacity building provides significant opportunities to develop Arab competencies and leverage the potential offered by modern technologies, thus supporting the development process in Arab countries and contributing to preparing generations better equipped to meet the demands of the digital economy and the future.

For his part, His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb stated that signing the Memorandum of Understanding with the Arab Federation for Digital Economy represents a strategic addition to the Foundation’s efforts to establish a comprehensive and stimulating knowledge environment. This environment contributes to developing the capabilities of individuals and institutions, providing them with an advanced system of educational platforms, training programs, and digital resources that enable them to keep pace with global changes and anticipate future requirements. This, in turn, enhances the readiness of national talent to contribute to building a more prosperous and sustainable knowledge economy. He emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to expanding its circle of strategic partnerships that promote institutional knowledge integration and contribute to improving performance and raising human competencies and capabilities according to the highest international standards.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Al Khouri affirmed that this partnership represents a significant step towards unifying Arab efforts in the fields of knowledge and the digital economy. He pointed out that building a sustainable digital economy begins with investing in human capital, developing digital skills, and making knowledge accessible to all. He added that cooperation with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation will contribute to launching joint initiatives and programs that enhance capacity building, support the development of Arabic knowledge content, and expand the use of digital educational platforms, thus serving the goals of sustainable development and meeting the future needs of the Arab region.

Areas of cooperation between the two parties include enhancing integration between educational platforms and related knowledge initiatives, by exploring partnership opportunities between the “Future Skills Academy,” one of the most prominent knowledge initiatives of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation and the United Nations Development Programme, and the “Arab Platform for Education and Training” of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, including content exchange, linking educational pathways, and coordinating certificates and training outputs, in order to achieve a more integrated and expansive educational experience for beneficiaries.

The bridges of cooperation also extend to the production and development of specialized Arabic content in the fields of digital economy and future skills, through activating joint paths for knowledge and scientific publishing through the platforms and websites of both parties, which contributes to enriching Arabic content and enhancing its presence in modern knowledge and technical fields.
