The Arab Federation for Digital Economy held a coordination meeting with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation in Dubai, in the presence of His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, Executive Director of the Foundation, and His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Al Khouri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation, within the framework of joint cooperation to support the paths of the digital economy and build knowledge capabilities in the Arab region.
The meeting included a comprehensive review of the two sides’ competencies, strategic programs and qualitative initiatives at the regional and international levels, in addition to discussing future cooperation opportunities, particularly in the areas of digital education, developing Arabic knowledge content, and preparing qualified personnel to keep pace with the requirements of the digital economy and rapid technological transformations.
The meeting also addressed ways to integrate the Arab Platform for Education and Training (Masarat) initiative, which is supervised by the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, and the Future Skills Academy of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, in addition to discussing mechanisms to support the “One Million Arab Coders” initiative as one of the leading initiatives in preparing a new generation of programmers and qualifying Arab youth in the fields of programming and advanced technologies.

Both sides stressed the importance of unifying efforts and integrating knowledge and digital initiatives, in order to contribute to building an integrated digital education system, support the development of Arab human capital, and establish the foundations of a digital economy based on knowledge and innovation.
Both sides also agreed on their commitment to continue coordination and develop joint cooperation mechanisms, through the development of executive frameworks and practical programs that contribute to supporting the priorities of the digital economy, developing knowledge capabilities, and empowering Arab competencies in light of the rapid transformations of the global economy.
