The Arab Federation for Digital Economy is exploring the establishment of a platform for cooperation in robotics and advanced industrial technologies in Xinchang, China.

His Excellency Counselor Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri, President of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, discussed with Mr. Li Yongjie, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party of China and Mayor of Xinchang District of Shaoxing City in Zhejiang Province, prospects for cooperation in the fields of robotics, smart manufacturing and advanced industrial technologies, as part of his official visit to the People’s Republic of China.

The meeting discussed ways to utilize Xinchang’s industrial and technological capabilities to support the initiatives that the Arab Federation for Digital Economy is working to implement in the Arab region, particularly projects related to robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing, in addition to exploring mechanisms for cooperation between industrial institutions and research and development centers on both sides.

Following the meeting, His Excellency visited the Xinchang Industrial Exhibition Center and was briefed on the advanced industrial system that the province is home to, which includes robotics applications, smart equipment, industrial automation, and modern manufacturing technologies, along with a number of solutions developed by Chinese companies in the fields of artificial intelligence and smart industry.

His Excellency listened to an explanation about the industrial development model adopted by Xinchang, which is based on the integration of scientific research, technological development, manufacturing, and investment. This model has contributed to building an advanced industrial base that includes dozens of companies specializing in robotics and smart equipment, in addition to leading industrial clusters in the fields of high-tech equipment, life sciences, and automotive components.

The two sides also discussed the establishment of a specialized office for the Arab Federation for Digital Economy in Xinchang, which would coordinate cooperation programs in the fields of robotics, smart manufacturing, and advanced industrial technologies, and link Chinese companies and institutions with the initiatives and projects implemented by the Federation in Arab countries, in addition to following up on the implementation of joint programs with governmental and industrial bodies and research and development centers.

His Excellency Advisor Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri affirmed that Xinchang presents an advanced model in building integrated industrial systems that combine technology, research and development, finance, and industrial applications, noting that benefiting from this experience represents one of the important pillars in implementing the Arab Vision for the Digital Economy projects, especially initiatives related to robotics, digital industries, and future technologies.
