Saif bin Zayed discusses cooperation with Vice Mayor of Hangzhou, China, within the framework of the “Arab Digital Economy Vision”

Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Supreme Chairman of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, met today in Dubai with the Vice Mayor of Guangzhou, China, during the Seamless Middle East 2025 conference.

During the meeting, they discussed opportunities for strategic cooperation between the two sides within the framework of the “Arab Digital Economy Vision,” which enjoys the direct support and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE (may God protect him). This vision constitutes a strategic roadmap to support digital transformation and innovation in the Arab world.

During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed affirmed the keenness of the UAE’s wise leadership, represented by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE (may God protect him), to strengthen international partnerships that serve the goals of digital and economic development in the Arab region. He praised China’s significant capabilities in advanced technology and digital transformation, and the importance of this partnership in supporting the implementation of Arab Vision projects and initiatives.

For his part, the Vice Mayor of Guangzhou affirmed the People’s Republic of China’s interest in strengthening cooperation with the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, appreciating the role of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed in supporting the Arab Vision for Digital Economy, which opens up broad horizons for economic partnership between China and Arab countries, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Al Khouri, Advisor to the Council of Arab Economic Unity and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, a number of senior officials from both sides, and the delegation accompanying the Vice Mayor of Hangzhou, China. The meeting emphasized the importance of activating this strategic partnership to serve the aspirations of Arab countries towards a developed and sustainable digital economy.

The participants also emphasized the importance of continued coordination and joint action to implement practical initiatives and programs aimed at empowering Arab youth, localizing advanced technology, and creating real economic opportunities that will positively impact Arab societies.
