The Arab Federation for Digital Economy participated in the first conference on “The Role of Financial Institutions in Implementing the UAE Strategy for Islamic Finance and Halal Industry 2025–2031”, which was held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai Hotel under the slogan “From Legislation to Growth and Innovation”.

The conference witnessed the participation of an elite group of leaders, officials and experts, including Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Derei, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, Mohammed Omran Al Shamsi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Banks Federation, Fouad Mohammed, CEO of the bank, and His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Ibrahim Al Darmaki, Deputy Secretary-General of the Federation, representing the Federation, in addition to representatives of financial institutions and regulatory and supervisory bodies.
The conference aims to consolidate the UAE’s position as a global center for Islamic finance, highlight the UAE’s strategy for Islamic finance and the halal industry, and the role of financial institutions in supporting and implementing it locally and internationally, in addition to exploring opportunities for innovation and financial technology and developing solutions that contribute to the growth and sustainability of this sector.

The participation of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy comes within the framework of its interest in supporting integration between the digital economy and the financial sector, supporting innovation and financial technology, and expanding the horizons of cooperation and partnerships that contribute to building more competitive and sustainable economic and financial systems at the Arab and international levels.
