On the sidelines of ADIPEC 2026, the Arab Federation for Digital Economy delegation met with Mr. Wu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Yancheng Municipality and Acting Mayor of Yancheng People’s Government, to discuss possible cooperation between the Federation and the municipal government, and to explore areas of joint work in the digital economy, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and smart technologies, which opens new horizons for cooperation between economic and technological institutions and entities on both sides.

The meeting addressed opportunities for exchanging expertise and experiences in smart cities, digital industries, and advanced technology applications for developing the production and service sectors. It also explored leveraging digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency, improve business environments, and foster innovation. Furthermore, the possibility of promoting initiatives and projects of mutual interest was discussed, along with establishing communication channels between government institutions, companies, and economic and technological entities in Yancheng and their counterparts in Arab countries. This would facilitate the exploration of trade and investment opportunities and the development of partnerships between Chinese and Arab companies.

The two sides also discussed the role the Federation can play in connecting Chinese institutions with Arab markets, promoting available investment opportunities and projects, and facilitating communication with relevant stakeholders in Arab countries, leveraging its network and institutional position in the Arab digital economy. Conversely, these meetings provide an opportunity to learn from Chinese experiences in industrial and technological development, explore initiatives that can be adopted, and develop areas of cooperation that align with the priorities of the Arab digital economy.

The meeting emphasized the importance of continued communication between the two sides to explore priority areas of cooperation, study possible initiatives and projects, and identify practical mechanisms for developing institutional cooperation and exchanging experiences, in order to support the establishment of sustainable cooperative relationships and open the way for new opportunities for partnership and investment.
