On the sidelines of the ADIPEC 2026 exhibition and conference in Abu Dhabi, the delegation of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, which included Dr. Ayman Mukhtar Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary-General, and Mr. Tang Tang, Director of the Federation’s office in China, held a meeting with Mr. Chen Xiaohong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DLG Exhibition & Events Co. Ltd., to discuss prospects for joint cooperation and the possibility of organizing an international conference and exhibition specializing in artificial intelligence in the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting addressed the initial concepts and objectives of the proposed event, envisioned as an international platform bringing together government leaders, decision-makers, technology companies and institutions, investors, research centers, and experts to showcase the latest developments in artificial intelligence technologies and their applications, and to discuss investment opportunities, partnerships, and innovative projects in this field. The possibility of combining a specialized conference discussing future trends, challenges, and opportunities in artificial intelligence with an accompanying exhibition showcasing practical solutions, technologies, and applications offered by participating companies and institutions was also explored.

The discussion addressed the application of artificial intelligence in vital economic sectors, particularly energy, industry, government services, finance, education, and healthcare, as well as supporting startups, knowledge transfer, and developing digital skills and competencies. The two sides also explored opportunities to leverage the organizational and international expertise of the DLG Group in hosting exhibitions and conferences and attracting international companies and delegations. This was discussed in conjunction with the Federation’s Arab and international network and its role in attracting relevant institutions and entities from the Arab region, contributing to the establishment of a specialized event with an international presence, originating from the UAE.

The meeting also addressed the importance of developing a comprehensive vision for the event, including its main themes, target audiences, participation mechanisms, and organizational and technical cooperation models, in preparation for continuing discussions on the possibility of implementing this initiative and transforming it into a specialized international event that contributes to linking technological innovation with economic opportunities.
