His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri, President of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, discussed with Mr. Li Yongjie, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party and Mayor of Xinchang District of Shaoxing City in Zhejiang Province, prospects for cooperation in developing robotics applications and supporting innovation in the fields of smart manufacturing and the digital economy.
The meeting comes as part of His Excellency’s visit to the People’s Republic of China, which aims to expand the Federation’s international partnership network and explore opportunities for cooperation with government agencies and institutions specializing in advanced technologies.
The meeting discussed the establishment of a robotics application center that serves the projects of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, and takes advantage of the advanced industrial environment that Xinchang Province is known for, in order to contribute to the development and testing of technical solutions, and to support their transfer to the markets of the Arab region.
The two sides also discussed mechanisms for cooperation in developing new robotics applications that meet the needs of Arab markets, and taking advantage of the industrial and technical capabilities of Chinese companies, linking technological innovation with the requirements of the target markets.
The meeting explored opportunities for investment institutions in the province to participate in supporting the robotics projects that the Federation is developing, in addition to agreeing to establish a joint coordination mechanism to follow up on the implementation of the agreed-upon initiatives, and to accelerate cooperation steps during the next phase.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Tang, Head of the Sub-Offices of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy in the People’s Republic of China, and Mr. Jet, Executive Director of the Federation’s offices in China, along with a number of representatives from both sides.
