«Arab Federation for Digital Economy» participates in the meeting for investment and commerce mechanism in Arab countries

The Arab Federation for Digital Economy participated in the 50th annual meeting of specialized federations (golden jubilee), which was held by Arab Economic Unity Council League of Arab States. The meeting was on Wednesday 12 June and was held with participation of 73 various specialized federations.

The meeting was chaired by H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Al Rabie, Secretary General, Arab Economic Unity Council League of Arab States, and attended by Mr. Mohammad Mustafa, Chairman, Palestine Investment Fund, Ambassador Mohannad Aklouk, Palestine’s permanent delegate to the League of Arab States, Mr. Mohamed Abou El Enein, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Arab Economic Unity Council, Mr. Amir Dajani, President, Palestine for Development Fund, and representatives of Arab Unions of the Arab Economic Unity Council.

The meeting events included discussion of investment and commerce mechanism in Arab countries, in addition to reviewing the accomplishments of all Arab specialized unions working within the council. Also, the exhibition «Made in the Arab World» was launched as a side event of the meeting.

The meeting has addressed many themes, the first was the note of the council’s secretariat, about analytic study and a map for the investment opportunities in the sectors of manufacturing and extractive industries in number of member countries of the Arab economic unity council, and those countries are: (Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Republic of Iraq, State of Palestine, Arab Republic of Egypt).

The second theme was about a study submitted by Arab Union for Small Enterprises (AUSE) about «The role of normal production groups in achieving economic development, applied study on the Arab Republic of Egypt. »

The second theme was represented by the note of the council’s secretariat, about «Agricultural Investment in the Arab world Symposium. » Where the fourth theme of the meeting came to discuss the note of the council’s secretariat, about the study of «The impact of Build, Operate, Transfer (BOT) projects on making sustainable development. »

Also, the fifth theme discussed the note of the council’s secretariat about the latest updates of the suggestion to «Establish Higher Councils» for manufacturing and extractive industries – imports and exports – and the Arab business men and investors, and to discuss the feedback of member countries regarding this suggestion.

For the sixth theme, it included discussed the note of the council’s secretariat about the latest updates and the executive procedures, for the suggestion of establishing a joint Arab holding company for packing. Where the seventh theme was to discuss the note of the council’s secretariat about the latest updates about “holding the green economy conference.” And the note of the council’s secretariat about «Feedback of member countries about the studies reviewed in the latest meetings about the mechanism of developing investment and commerce in Arab countries» was the discussion of the eighth theme of the meeting.
