Arab Economic Unity Council, held a meeting with representatives of Cairo University, and “EFESO” French consultancy group, in Cairo. The meeting was chaired by Council Secretary General H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Mohamed Al Rabie, as a follow up to the agreement signed last September, between the council and the university to develop Arab common vision for digital economy.

The agreement states that Cairo University and the French consultancy group would prepare a vision for Arab digital economy. And Arab Economic Unity Council would then study and review it, in partnership with Arab and global organizations and establishments, and an elite of global senior officials and experts. Among these organizations is United Nations, World Bank, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and many other organizations working in the field of digital economy.

Arab Economic Unity Council League of Arab States supervises the agreement, which aims at developing digital economy in Arab world, this would support economic stability, and improve joint Arab action.
