The Council of Economic Unity discusses strengthening cooperation in implementing the initiatives of the Arab vision for the digital economy with the Republic of Djibouti

The Council of Arab Economic Unity of the League of Arab States held a coordination meeting with the Embassy of the Republic of Djibouti in the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Ambassador Othman Musa Drar, Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to the United Arab Emirates, and His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohamed Al-Khouri, Advisor to the Council of Economic Unity of the League of Arab States and President of the Arab Federation for the Digital Economy, and a number of officials from both sides.

The meeting included a discussion of a number of important topics, on top of which was; Strengthening cooperation in implementing some of the initiatives emanating from the “Arab vision for the digital economy”.

The meeting also dealt with ways to support the development goals of each country separately, support Arab-Arab cooperation, and focus on projects that improve the lives of Arab citizens, and raise the level of economic and social development in the countries of the region.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti expressed his welcome and interest in the initiatives emanating from the Arab vision for the digital economy, and stressed the importance of the “vision” in developing the fields of the digital economy in his country and the Arab region. The two sides agreed on some coordination steps.
