The Council of Arab Economic Unity of the League of Arab States held a meeting with the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. / Ghassan Abbas, Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Arab Emirates, and the accompanying delegation from both sides.

The meeting witnessed the discussion of a number of important topics, the most important of which are; Strengthening cooperation in implementing some of the initiatives emanating from the study prepared by the Arab Federation for the Digital Economy entitled “The Arab Vision for the Digital Economy”, in the Arab countries in general, and the most needy Arab countries in particular, especially in the Syrian Arab Republic.

The meeting also dealt with ways to support the development goals of each country separately, support Arab-Arab cooperation, and focus on projects that improve the lives of Arab citizens, and raise the level of economic and social development in the countries of the region.

At the end of the meeting, His Excellency the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic welcomed and emphasized the importance of the initiatives emanating from the Arab vision of the digital economy to enhance benefiting from them in developing the areas of the digital economy in the Arab countries and the Syrian Arab Republic in particular, and the possibility of implementing any of them in his country.
